CLIENT: Petrobras [1984-2009]

We never could forget the first sponsorship at a jersey for a football team. Whose work was it? Klefer’s of course. We are always innovating and thinking ahead.

The year was 1984. We put the sponsorship of the oil Lubrax at Flamengo’s jersey. It was the first master sponsorship for a jersey for a Brazilian team. It became an icon of national advertisement, opening doors for a big source of income for all of Brazilian teams.

Klefer’s pioneering led to a 26-year-long partnership between Petrobras and Flamengo, the longest sponsorship in Brazilian football history. It redefined standards and left a solid and well-successful legacy for the local sport marketing.
