CLIENT: Continental Tires and Sony Pictures [2021]

A strong team always relies on a solid and secure defense. Now imagine having Spider-Man join the lineup! That’s exactly what happened at the 2021 Copa Intelbras do Brasil Final—an original and dynamic activation that brought together unlikely partners.

While preparing the activation plan for the grand finals with Continental Tires, an official sponsor since 2015, we discovered their partnership with Sony Pictures to promote the film Spider-Man: No Way Home.

The goal? To connect the key values of Continental’s tires—safety and grip—with the superpowers of Marvel’s globally beloved hero. After all, football players are also real-life heroes, protecting their clubs with determination and skill.

Leveraging the “Best Defensive Player” asset, created earlier that year for Continental, we wove an intricate web around the concept. Wearing the original movie costume flown in from Los Angeles, Spider-Man surprised six children from the Instituto Futebol de Rua NGO, offering them a once-in-a-lifetime experience: stepping onto the field to present Continental’s Defensive Player Trophy to the award recipient.
